Early Life
Shetty was born on 7th November 1981 in Mangalore, Karnataka and belongs to an ethnic Tuluva & from a Tulu-speaking Bunt family from Bellipady village in Puttur taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.
Her parents’ names are Prafulla and A. N. Vittal Shetty and she has two elder brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty.
Career
Shetty started her acting debut in the year 2005 acted in Puri Jagannadh directed film Super with actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and actress Ayesha Takia. Her performance in this film was gain media attraction rightly described by the critics.
In 2006, once again she introduced her performance to the audience. He gave ‘S. s. ‘VikramArkudu‘was directed by Rajamouli along with actor Ravi Teja. The film was becoming successful at the box office and the critics also appreciated her a lot for her performances.
The film was praised by the audience and the film was included in the list of successful films at the box office after earning an excellent.
In 2015, she was also in an important role in a big film in ‘S. s. ‘Baahubali’ directed by Rajamouli. Her performance in the film was titled ‘Mahila Superstar’ by the critics.
In 2015, she performed opposite Ajith Kumar in Yennai Arindhaal which opened to positive reviews. Her second release in 2015, of S. S. Rajamouli which became one of the top-grossing films in the Indian film industry. She was referred to in the media as the “Lady Superstar“
She started 2017 with the Tamil film ‘C3’. In this film, she acted alongside actor Suriya. This year, Shetty once again played her role in the blockbuster film. The film was titled ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film had grossed all the records across the country with a total gross of Rs 1,810 crore.
