Who is Chris Brown?

He is an American rapper songwriter actor and dancer. “Run It!” his debut single ranks on top on Billboard hot 100 which also make him the first male artist since 1997  to have his debut single top the chart. He has sold over 140 million records worldwide, which also makes him one of the world’s best selling music artists. In his musical journey career, he has owned various prestigious awards including a  Grammy Award, fifteen BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards & six Soul Train Music Awards.

Early life

He was born on 5th May 1989 in Tappahannock, the oldest city in the Virginia United States of America. His father Clinton Brown, was a corrections officer at a local prison by profession & mother Joyce Hawkins former daycare centre director. He has an older sister Lytrell Bundy.

He studied in  Essex High School, located in Virginia, till 2005. After that, he moved to New York City to pursue his music and singing carrier.

Career

On 29th November 2005, he released his self-titled album which ranks at number two on the Billboard 200 With 1,54,000 copies sold in its first week. In the United States, it’s sold over 2 million copy and certified two times Platinum by the  Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). 

In 2007 he made his movie debut in the American dance drama movie Stomp the Yard along with American singer Ne-Yo, American actress and model Meagan good and American actor Columbus short. 

He also founded the record label CBE (Chris Brown Entertainment or Culture Beyond Your Evolution) under the American Universal music group Interscope Records.

Exclusive his second studio album released on 6th November 2007 it’s sold over 2,94,000 copies in its first week. The song ranks at number four on The US Billboard 200. One of the leading song of the album “Kiss Kiss” it ranks top on the US Billboard hot hundred chart. It also becomes his second number-one single.

American Christmas romantic comedy-drama movie This Christmas he performs in this movie along with American actress and director Regina King. After that, for the promotion of his album Exclusive, he organised a tour The Exclusive Holiday Tour which was started in Cincinnati Ohio & and closes in Honolulu Hawaii in 2008. He also performs in a guest appearance on American rapper and actor Ludacris’s single “What Them Girls Like”.By the end of 2008, he becomes an artist of the Year by Billboard magazine. 

F.A.M.E. his fourth studio album was released on 18th March 2011. The Album reached the top on the Us Billboard 200 chart With 2,70,000  sale in its first week. It is also his first number one album in the United States. “Next to You” single of the album featuring Canadian singer Justin Bieber which also become the album’s fourth international single.

On 14th April 2014, he released a  teaser of the new track “Don’t Be Gone Too Long” featuring American singer and actress Ariana Grande. On 13th  October 2017, he released his promotional single “High End”. The song featured by American Trap artist future & American rapper-singer Young Thug. On 3rd February 2016 American actress and singer Zendaya’s song “Something New” was released featuring him.

American rapper-actor Lil Dicky’s single “Freaky Friday” was featured on 15th March 2018  and its music video was released on 9th April 2018. The Video crosses over a hundred million views and topped the charts in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
