She is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Demi Lovato has sold over 24 million records in the United State. She has received the various type of prestigious award including MTV Video Music Awards, fourteen Teen Choice Awards, five People Choice Award, two Latin American Music Award along a Guinness World Record.

Early life

She was born on 20th August 1992 in Albuquerque, the most populous city in the United State of New Mexico. She started playing the piano at the age of seven and guitar at ten years. Due to her acting career, she has to take her primary level education in home school and later on she gradually completed her High School diploma.

Career

She started her acting career in 2002 on the Children’s television show “Barney & Friends”.She has given an audition for the television film “Camp Rock” in 2008 & for an American sitcom “Sonny with a Chance” and got both the roles. In the television film Camp Rock, she played the character of Singer Mitchie Torres.

Her acting ability praised by Robert Lloyd of the Los Angeles times as very good and compared with Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus. 

Her debut studio album “Don’t Forget” released on 23rd  September 2008. It ranks at Number two in the United State along with  89000 copies sold in its first week. Ten of its songs were co-written with  Jonas Brothers. The Album certified gold by the “Recording Industry Association of America” (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 copies.

Her second studio album “Here We Go Again” was released on 21st July  2009. It ranks on top Billboard 200 & her first studio albums which ranks on top. Within one week of its release, it’s sold over 108,000 copies and later on it certified gold. In that same year, she received the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.

Her third studio album “unbroken” was released on 20th September 2011. The leading single of the album “Skyscraper” ranks on number ten in the United State selling 176,000 downloads during the first week of release. 

She produced a documentary, “Beyond Silence” in 2017 and in the same year American news magazine “Times magazine” listed her name in  “100 most influential people in the world”.

It has reported in August 2019 that she would appear in the “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo recorded a track with her titled “Together” for her album Unbroken.

A four-part documentary series of her self live premiered on YouTube in March 2021. The self-titled series “Dancing with the Devil “ Later announced that her next album “Dancing with the Devil … the Art of Starting Over” would be released on 2nd  April 2021. The album features collaborations with American singer and actress Ariana Grande, Singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus and American rapper Saweetie. American singer and actress Selena Gomez during an audition she met with her for the American children’s television series “Barney & Friends”. She gives credit as her singing inspiration to American singer & songwriter Beyonce.

Personal life

She purchased a Mediterranean-style house in Los Angeles for their family on her 18th Birthday in January 2011. In 2016 she again purchased a mountainous neighbourhood in Los Angeles for $ 8.3 million (Rs 60.71 Cr). The Apartment she sold for $ 8.25 Million (Rs 60.34 Cr) in 2020 and later on she purchased a home in a Neighbourhood in the city of Los Angeles for $ 7 million (Rs 51.20 Cr).  

She Becomes a brand ambassador of the American audio Equipment manufacturer company JBL in 2017.

She donated $ 50,000 (Rs 36.57 Lacs) in August 2017 for Hurricane Harvey relief and started the fund with Nick Jonas. In June 2020 she donated $ 125,000 (Rs 91.43 Lacs) in covid 19 pandemic relief efforts.
