In 2010 he birdied the final hole to defeat former world number one American golfer David Duval. In the final round of  The 2010 PGA Championship, he held a one-shot lead entering the final hole & he broke his streak of bad luck at the third playoff event season of The FedEx Cup.

In March 2011 he entered into the final of the WGC-Cadillac Championship with a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field. The same year he won his fifth PGA Tour title at The Barclays. A golf tournament on the PGA Tour in New York City.

In January 2018 he won The Sentry Tournament of Champions for the second time with an eight-stroke victory over Spanish golfer Jon Rahm. It proves that he had won a title in his first 11 straight seasons on the PGA Tour. At the links-style golf club located in New York “Shinnecock Hills Golf Club,” American Professional golfer Daniel Berger shot a third-round 66, putting him in a 4-way tie for the lead with him.

In July 2018 he achieved his third win of the season when he won  The Canadian Open by three strokes over Seoul golfer An Byeong-hun & South Korean Kim Meen-whee.

In April 2019 he finished tied for second in The Masters Tournament one stroke behind American golfer Tiger Woods. He also took part with the American golfer Xander Schauffele in the same tournament. He married the model singer Paulina Gretzky, daughter of  Canadian ice hockey player Wayne  Gretzky in August 2013.The couple have two sons Tatum Gretzky Johnson who was born 19th January 2015 & River Jones Johnson was born 12th June 2017.
