He is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played two years of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Early life
He was born on 22nd, February 1986 in Louisville, the largest city in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the 29th most populous city in the United States. His father William Rondo with whom he has very little contact and his mother Amber Rondo worked at Philip Morris USA, a tobacco company. He has three siblings: Dymon, William and Anton.
Career
In 2015 he joined the Sacramento Kings in 2015 and then the Chicago Bulls in 2016, the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017 and the Los Angeles Lakers. After the season. He joined the Atlanta Hawks, where he stayed for half a season before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
High school Career
He became serious about basketball after he attended Louisville’s Eastern High School for three years. During his junior year at Eastern High School, he averaged 27.9 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists which earned him a spot on the All-State honours and was named the 7th Region Player of the Year.
He then transferred to Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy for his senior year where he averaged 21.0 points per game (ppg), 3.0 rebounds per game (RPG) and 12.0 assists per game (APG) and finished the 2003–04 season with a 38–0 record. He was also named a second-team Parade All-American.
College career
He committed to Kentucky over his hometown Louisville. He, along with All-Americans Joe Crawford and Randolph Morris, gave coach Tubby Smith and Kentucky the top-rated recruiting class for 2004.
He led Kentucky to several wins including victories against Louisville, South Carolina and Central Florida, but Kentucky failed to advance to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament in either his freshman or sophomore seasons.
Professional career
Following the 2005–06 NCAA season, he announced he would forgo his final two seasons at Kentucky and enter the NBA draft. He was drafted 21st overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft.
In the 2015 offseason, he signed a one-year, $10 million (Rs 75.13 Cr) contract with the Sacramento Kings. He was also incredible for the California capital as he finished the season averaging a triple-double, 11.9 points and 11.7 rebounds.
He signed for the Chicago Bulls in the 2016 offseason with a contract of $28 million( 2,10.36 Cr) for two years. He played a good season for the Bulls but he was eventually waived on June 30th 2017.
The New Orleans Pelicans picked up him during that offseason with a one-year $3.3 million (Rs 24.79 Cr) deal. This move reunited him with former Kings teammate DeMarcus Cousins and paired them with All-Star Anthony Davis.
After a good season with the Pels, he signed a one-year, $9 million ( Rs 67.61 Cr) deal with the Lakers to join LeBron James. Despite missing the playoffs that season, the Lakers re-signed the veteran point guard to a minimum contract.
He then helped the Lakers win their 17th Championship after disposing of the Miami Heat in six games.
After winning his 2nd ring which helped him bag an amazing deal with the Atlanta Hawks worth $15 million (Rs 1,12.69 Cr) for two years. However, he was traded mid-season to the Los Angeles Clippers.
