He is an American rapper singer-songwriter and actor. His debut album “Summertime ’06” widely received positive reviews among the listeners. The album was released on 30th June 2015. The album reached thirty-nine on the Billboard 200 with the selling of 13,000 Album equivalent units in its first week. It was released under the Music management company Blacksmith & featuring the most famous Swedish singers and songwriters Snoh Aalegra along with the so many high profile Record producer.
His mixtape “Stolen Youth” with American rapper & singer Mac Miller included the guest appearance of American rapper Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Dash & American rapper & songwriter Joey Fatts. It was released as a digital free download on 20th June 2013.
He was born on 2nd July 1993 in Compton, a city in the Southern Los Angeles County California in the United State. He has two brothers and three sisters & he is the Youngest of all.
He studied at Optimal Christian Academy from 4th to 8th grade. After that, he has to change many high schools for his studies due to his family circumstances including Jordan High School in Long Beach California, Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California, Esperanza High School in Anaheim, California and Esperanza High School in Anaheim California.
In 2012 American rapper and songwriter Earl Sweatshirt, introduced him to American rapper singer and songwriter Mac Miller. Next year in June 2013 along with Mac Miller he released a mixtape titled “Stolen Youth”.After that, he signed to Manhattan-based American multinational record Level company “Def Jam Recordings”.
He released a music video for “Blue Suede” which is also available on the iTunes media player. After that, he released an EP “Hell Can Wait” on 7th October 2014. Before the release, he has given an interview on the American Hip Hop magazine “XXL” that the EP is included the guest appearances of Guatemalan-American rapper from Aston Matthews and American singer-songwriter and actress Teyana Taylor along with the production from American Hip hop and R&B music producer No I.D. Infamous, and Hagler.
On 23rd February 2016, he was announced as part of the 2016 Osheaga Music Festival. After that, he releases his second EP the seven-track “Prima Donna”.The first single from his next studio album “BagBak”, he released on 3rd February 2017 which was later on featured in the trailer for the Marvel comic-based American Superhero Movie “Black Panther”. On 8th June 2017, he released the single “Rain Come Down” featuring American singer-songwriter Ty Dolla Sign.
He along with American rapper-singer Tyler, the Creator, announced on 15th November 2017 that they would be doing a tour around North America. On 15th December 2017 celebrated American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish’s song “&Burn” was released on that same day. Later on, the song included in the reissue of Eilish’s EP “Don’t Smile at Me”. The song was certified gold in the United States by the “Recording Industry Association of America” (RIAA) on 2nd April 2020.
On 9th July 2012, he releasing his self-titled fourth studio album under the American record label company Motown Records & Blacksmith. He has also been revealed the tracklist of the album via Instagram. British daily newspaper “The Guardian” has given the album four stars out of five.
He is a fan of the American professional Basketball team “Los Angeles Clippers”. He is also a fan of modern art and has included the feminist French-American sculptor Louise Bourgeois in his song “Rain Come Down”.
